Watch a small group string ensemble of 7th & 8th graders perform "Dance of the Clowns" written and composed by Mr. Tinkham for Halloween.
This piece originally premiered in 2016 and was inspired by the strange sightings of people dressed in clown costumes, often standing completely still for long periods of time. These clowns were supposedly seen in school zones, forests, neighborhoods, and downtown areas. The sighting of these clowns was terrifying and disturbing, although luckily, they have disappeared since, and there have been no reports of any harm or danger.
Mr. Tinkham decided to resurrect the piece and experiment with his 8th Period Select Guitar Ensemble to create their first Virtual Ensemble Performance. Members of the Select Guitar Ensemble include Riley Grade 7), Ricardo (Grade 8), Jarielys (Grade 8), and Jessica (Grade 8). Mr. Tinkham hopes to continue creating Virtual Ensemble Performances with some of his ensembles.
