Theatre Arts - Grades 5-12

 

Middle School Theatre Majors experience a highly interactive, hands-on program to train as a performer and collaborator.  The middle school program is highly ensemble oriented, with a focus on improving group work and concentration.

 

High School Theatre Majors experience a rigorous, experiential program encompassing all areas of theatre arts; designed to provide progressive development as an actor and prepare students for college and career readiness.  Focus is on improving group work and concentration continues at a higher level.

 

Courses Include:

Ensemble, Improvisation, Playwriting Scene Study, Advanced Scene Study, Physical Theatre Mime, Clowning, Storytelling, Meisner Technique, Theatre History, Characterization, Theatre Production Directing, Puppetry, Shakespeare, Voice & Speech Creative Dramatics and Play, Audition Techniques, Stage Movement, Dramatic Theory & Criticism, Intro to Lighting & Sound, Costume Design
