The Doe's Beginning by Kaas Scriven

The way I speak in rhythm

I try as if I’m not dumb

But the only stupid thing I have done

Was apologize.

You hurt me

Yet I passed the apology

Lied to me

I stood honestly

The lies were so high

That my standards

Beliefs

Morals

Dropped to the floor

Just like my clothes.

I can say I loved you

But I couldn’t even love myself

Dagger left on the counter shelf

Although I’ve gained wealth

It doesn’t matter

Cause when I was with you

I lost my true self.

You can judge me cause I can now wear dresses

I act different

“I act selfish”

You can say anything

But no matter what

I can now say

I love myself

I love my friends

I love my family
