6 Month Remembrance Day of the May 14th Tragedy

Please join our community in remembering the tragic lives lost on May 14th, 2022 at Tops Friendly Market.

We will be meeting on Jefferson between East Utica and Kingsley Street between the hours of 6pm and 7pm on November 14th, 2022.

Help us remember by brining a candle, placing a candle in the window of your business, or directly outside of your business to acknowledge the lives forever changed that day.

10 lives were lost, countless families and our community were changed forever. Since the act, Buffalo has banded together in unprecedented manner of hope, healing, renewal. Jacobs School of Medicine, UB's schools of social work, The Western New York Peace Center organized counseling sessions to aid those affected by the attack. "Let It Flow" a workshop combining music, movement and expressive art was held to allow people of all walks of life to artistically heal. The African American Cultural Center opened their doors to all to have a safe haven to speak and heal. Countless other retreats, healing sessions, faith-based led meetings were all held to allow community members, families of the victims, Tops employees & shoppers and survivors to find comfort and help those in need.
